GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST (GPAT)
GPAT is a national level examination for award of scholarship to qualified candidates seeking entry into Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) course. The first GPAT was conducted in the year 2010 and thereafter it was conducted every year till 2018 by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the directions of Ministry of Education, Government of India and from the year 2019, the examination is conducted through the National Testing Agency (NTA) as per the directions of Ministry of Education, Government of India to till 2023.
The Pharmacy Council of India has taken the initiative to conduct the GPAT and disbursement of scholarship honoring the Judgement of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India of dated 05.03.2020 stating that “AICTE Act, governing the general technical education would be amended deleting ‘pharmacy’ from its mandate and the pharmacy education would thereafter b e governed by the Pharmacy Act, 1948”.
The Pharmacy Council of India has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences for conducting the GPAT.
National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS)
The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an All India Basis and utilizing existing healthcare infrastructure for capacity building.
The prime objectives of NBEMS is to elevate the standards of post graduate medical education in modern medicine and conducting examinations of high standard on an all India basis. NBEMS provides a common national standard for evaluation of minimum level of attainment of the knowledge and competencies of post graduate and doctoral training.
How to Apply
Let’s see how to apply and register for GPAT 2026.
1. Please click on the link provided below.

You will be directed to the below page. Check the “Green button” to follow the application link.
2. Before proceeding further, we recommend to go through GPAT Information Bulletin and read carefully to understand the requirements. To have high level overview and clear directions please go through the below link.
3. Once you click the “Application Link”, will be directed to next step in the application.
4. Once you are familiar with the requirements, click the “REGISTER” button and you will be directed to declaration page.
5. Based on your candidature, select either you are applying as a candidate or an agent on behalf of the candidate. Tick the appropriate selection and submit.
6. The Applicants will be directed to the Instructions screen for further guidance on the application form.
7. The Applicants will be directed to the Privacy Notice screen for further acceptance and proceed further on the application form. Scroll down the screen and Click I Agree to proceed further.

Step 1: Personal Details
8. The Candidates are directed to the Personal Details section and need to fill Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Mobile Number and Email ID as per below.
9. Once your details are entered, Generate an OTP
10. OTP will be received on Mobile and Email and needs to be validated as shown below.
11. Accept the declaration followed by Captcha. Reverify and Preview the presented details and proceed further.
12. Below screen will be displayed to verify the Entered details, check each box if details are correct.
13. Once ticked the relevant boxes, a preview will be enabled to verify the correctness of the data.
Once selected, a SUBMIT button will be activated and click on submit will show an ALERT and click on OK to proceed.
14. The below note will be displayed on successful registration and USER ID will be generated and sent your registered email ID.
15. Check you registered Email ID for Email from NBEMS@mail.digialm.com with a subject GPAT 2026 User ID and Password.
16. Now using your Login and Password login into the NBEMS website and the Applicants will be directed to the Instructions screen for further guidance on the application form.
17. Further Details on Personal details are popped up on Category, Father and Mother Name to be updated
Step 2: Identification Details
18. The Candidates are Directed to the Identification Details section and need to fill AADHAAR, Voter ID, PAN card, Driving License and Passport as per below.
19. Once you click Yes on above details, updated screen follows to enter the details and save to proceed to next.
Step 3: Communication Details
20. The Candidates are Directed to the Communication Details section and need to fill Address, and Pincode as per below screen and proceed to click Save & Next.
Step 4: Qualification Details
21. The Candidates are Directed to the Qualification Details section and need to fill educational details such as SSC (10th), Intermediate (12th) including the board, school/college along with year of passing.
22. Further details on percentage/CGPA to be entered.
23. Information on Bachelors Degree (B.Pharm) – Roll number, state, College and year of admission details to be furnished. Based on your selection Marks and Percentage details to be entered.
24. Additional Information on the Code of conduct to be declared. This is on rustication/debarment/unfair means in GPAT. Select No.
25. If you have appeared for GPAT 2025, then the details on Roll No. and GPAT score to be provided, If this is your first attempt click NO.
26. Check and ensure the correctness of the data to click SAVE & NEXT.
Step 5: Test City
27. Now comes, where you want to appear for the online exam, select the state and city of the Computer Based Test (CBT). Please click SAVE & NEXT.
Step 6: Document & Payment
28. Read out the instructions on the documents to be uploaded and make sure you have the documents in place.
Also note a LIVE CAPTURE your Image is needed, hence please be in ambient light and in formal attire. Kindly Note your Passport Photo should be taken Not More than 3 months and this should match with your LIVE photo.
29. Upload the below documents – Photograph, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impresssion and Marksheet of B.Pharm.
30. Proceed further for the payment of stipulated Fee (INR 3500 or 2500) through any mode of your convenience. [UPI PREFERRED]
31. Read further declarations to be accepted.

32. Once you read and understand the declaration, select the confirmation and agree check-boxes and enter the right captcha. Preview to re-confirm the details and proceed to SUBMIT.
